Thank you for such a beautifully prepared selection of sandwiches, croissants and torpedoes on Wednesday. There wasn’t a morsel of cheese left after Campaign’s bagel lunch, and everyone was very impressed with the high standard of luxury bites and various different flavours. The apple and ginger chutney was a particular hit, and the cranberry and brie croissants were an excellent touch. Thank you for looking after us so well, we shall hopefully see you soon with more requests!
What fantastic cheese! It was enjoyed by all the cast and crew of ‘Jerusalem’ at The Apollo Theatre during and between our two performances on New Year’s Eve – a special treat to get us through a long and busy day. We were especially impressed by your clever West of England selection – all lovely, although I think the Yarg was overall favourite, closely followed by the Somerset Brie. Thank you so much!
I visited your Liverpool Street shop about a month ago in search of a pelardon from Languedoc-Roussillon/Provence – fantastic baked in the oven or under the grill over figs with thinly sliced parma or serrano ham as a base and good olive oil, honey, herbes de provence, black pepper and lemon. With a green salad and crusty bread can be a starter, lunch or supper. You didn’t have pelardon, which didn’t surprise me as I’ve never seen it outside that part of France, but we had a most illuminating and enjoyable discussion. You found me an outstanding Wensleydale and a Yorkshire blue for my white-rose husband as well as a little French goat’s cheese with a fern leaf and a Provencale goat’s with herbs. All were utterly gorgeous and far superior to even Selfridges and Waitrose offerings. You said at the time that you were about to launch this website and wanted to get it absolutely right – and you have. I pass through Liv. St about once a month and will make a point of stocking up on cheeses I can’t buy from my local excellent deli (The Wivenhoe Delicatessen. Good luck with this new venture.
